A heartbreaking incident has shaken Ota community, as Robinson Aluge has lost his life to depression and harassment after his son sexual act with same sex was called for traditional cleaning by his town priest and elders.
Robinson Aluge hailed from Mbiri Village, Delta State. He knew his son sexual orientation since his secondary school.
Our source, from the family who does not want his name to be mentioned said, Kelvin Aluge sexual immorality and escapades led his father to his untimely grave.
“The Aluge Family from Mbiri Village, Delta State cast Kelvin as Osu and compelling him to perform spiritual cleansing to remove the taboo from his head or he faces the consequences.”
According to our source, the devastating sequence of events began when the son sexual orientation was revealed by his partner’s mother leading to relentless harassment and ostracism from neighbors, family, friends, and community members.
The father, struggling to cope with the societal pressure and stigma especially from his family who demanded for his son to perform spiritual cleansing which is horrible ad barbaric, succumbed to depression after Kelvin committed second acts, uncovered by his uncle’s wife which later resulted to family intervention and call for spiritual cleansing.
Despite all efforts by Robinson to support his son, the overwhelming burden proved too much as he faces humiliation and harassment on daily basis after he returns from Mbiri and later relocated to Ota, Ogun State.
Robinson Aluge, a father of three passed away after battling with serious high blood pressure, depression and public harassment over his son sexual orientation.
