Bishop David Oyedepo, Founder and President of Living Faith Church Worldwide, on Saturday, June 7, 2025, announced a postponement in the dedication date of the highly anticipated Ark Legacy Project.
Speaking during the church’s Leadership Empowerment Summit, the revered cleric emphasized the need for a generational focus on delivering the monumental sanctuary at the highest level of excellence.
Addressing leaders and members of the church, Bishop Oyedepo explained that the project’s technical partners had requested additional time to complete critical installations, including escalators, which are already being installed at the site.
“I heard a word come to me saying: ‘Don’t sacrifice excellence for time.’ Our technical partners will require more time than earlier estimated. So, there will be a review of the date, and you will be informed later. Jesus is Lord,” Bishop Oyedepo stated, as reported by Church Gist.
He further stressed the importance of patience and precision for what he described as a “generational project.”
“We need generational attention for such a generational project,” he added. “It is a sanctuary that Jesus will meet when He comes. Therefore, we must ensure that it is completed with the best shape and the best strength.”
The Bishop was quick to dispel any concerns regarding resources or funding for the project, affirming that the work continues to advance without financial pressure.
“The good news is that there is no short supply of anything. There is no financial stress anywhere. Jesus has always been the source and will remain so forever. To God be the glory. This is the truth and nothing but the truth,” he declared.
Bishop Oyedepo also highlighted a principle that has underpinned the entire project’s progress: “Resources have been chasing the work, not the work chasing the resources,” he noted, attributing all glory to God for the remarkable strides made so far.
The Ark Legacy Project, a massive sanctuary being constructed to serve future generations of worshippers, has drawn significant attention globally for its scale and vision.
The decision to postpone its dedication date underlines the church’s unwavering commitment to excellence and quality.
“God has been doing amazing wonders at The Ark. It will interest you to know that they have started installing the escalators. But I heard that word clearly: ‘Don’t sacrifice excellence for time.’ So we must pay the required attention to ensure that this generational project stands as a legacy for many generations to come,” Bishop Oyedepo concluded.
A new dedication date will be communicated to the church and the public in due course.
