Hon (Engr) WALIU OLAYIWOLA TAIWO has been described as a great Politician, who’s committed to the welfare and development of Ogun West, full of Empathy for his People, sincere and a strong Party Man who will represent Ogun West Senatorial District with passion and Political savvy.
This quality according to the Members of All Progressive Congress Party (APC) in Yewa South formed the consensus opinion of the Leaders and Party Members during a special Meeting organized in his honour in Ilaro on Thursday.
Conducted by the former Chairman of Yewa South LG, Hon. Idowu Adeyemi, the attendance included the Party Secretary in the LG, Women Leaders, LG Youth Leader and the entire Ward Chairmen who unanimously declared that, it’s pay back time for Hon Waliu Taiwo past good deeds.
In his welcome remarks, Hon Idowu Adeyemi disclosed that the meeting which was at the instance of the Leaders and Elders of the Party in the Yewa South LG, was meant to assure Hon Waliu Taiwo of their unwavering support for his aspiration to sit in the Red Chamber in 2027. He used the moment to appreciate His Excellency, Governor Dapo Abiodun MFR for facilitating the return of Sen Solomon Olamilekan Adeola Yayi, to Ogun State, a Man who has taken representation in the National Assembly to a higher level in Ogun West.
Hon Adeyemi said that, the goodwill enjoyed by Hon Waliu Taiwo cut across Ogun West as his good works and passion for building People within, and outside Political environment is legendary. He concluded that the Senatorial hopeful is a tested, trusted and reliable Personality who understands Ogun West too well.
The meeting which was based on five Representatives from the Ten Wards of Yewa South, turned the moment of their comments, to huge testimonies for Hon Taiwo, a moment that raised attendees emotions.
Hon Kayode Salako the Party Secretary stated that the assignment of delivering Hon Taiwo is their own responsibility with enough reasons to take up the campaign by themselves when the time comes.
In his response to various comments and testimonies, Hon Waliu Taiwo expressed his appreciation for the quality attendance and the hosting by the key stakeholders of the LG, saying, various comments earlier made by cross section of the Party Loyalists really touched him, adding that this will spur him to do more as it’s obvious that ‘what goes around, comes around’, this, he added gives him further challenges to be more committed and hardworking.
Commending Gov Dapo Abiodun, he said the Governor is a great man of Honour who’s never distracted, commending him for his support for Senator Solomon Olamilekan Adeola Yayi.
On the 2027 Governorship Election, Hon Taiwo emphatically declared that Ogun West would not never have a better opportunity than now with Senator Solomon Olamilekan Adeola Yayi as flag bearer. He called on all well meaning Residents of Ogun West, particularly the Political Class to file behind Senator Yayi in one voice for this coveted Ogun State’s Governor’s Seat. He acknowledged the massive development and transformation Senator Yayi has brought to the nooks and cranny of Ogun West, extending already across the State.
Hon Taiwo commended the commitment of Chief Mufutau Ajibola, Chief Mrs Iyabo Apampa, Hon Olayode for their positive Leadership roles and support for the *Lai For Senate* project in Yewa South and Ogun West in general.
The highlights of the Meeting was the presentation of *Lai Taiwo for Senate Banners* to all the Ward Chairmen for their meetings and to commence the Grassroots mobilization in all their various Wards.
On the entourage of Hon Taiwo from Ado-Odo Otta LG were Chief Ayo Akanbi from Agbara Ward, AOLG, others include Elder Taiwo Oke, Chief Samson Olapo, Hon Kayode Taiwo, Hon Oweyon, the Ogun State Chairman of Ward Chairmen, Hon Yakubu Olanrewaju (Ijoko Ward) Women Leaders from various Wards in Ado-Odo Otta LG.
From the opinions of the attendees, Yewa South LG is fully ready, to champion the course of Hon Lai Taiwo for Senate.
