*OTTA EGUNGUN FESTIVAL, TRAFFIC ADVICE*

Egungun Festival in Otta, Awori Land will commence on Saturday 18th October with a late night spiritual cleansing of the Community by Agan the spirit of Otta Ancestors.

Egungun Festival is a big Cultural Festival in Awori Land generally, and particularly, Otta with its huge attendance by Sons and Daughters, home and in the diaspora, with a large presence of Cultural Enthusiasts from across the Globe.

Consequently, the events of Saturday 18th and Sunday 19th of October will draw huge and human traffic to Otta and surrounding Communities.

To this end, the Otta Cultural Development Committee advises that all Road users and Transporters going to Idiroko, Abeokuta or coming from this axis should avoid the Township Roads as there will not be passage. More specifically, our Christian Brothers and Sisters are advised to pass Toll Gate through Sango, Ota Bridge into Ota-Idiroko Rd, or pass Osi Roundabout through Otun, to Ojuore Otta, or Afobaje to Obasanjo to Idiroko Road for easy movement.

We sincerely call on all the Para Military Agencies, particularly TRACE, NSCDC, Amotekun, SOSAFE and the Navy School of Music officers to assist in this regards. The Cultural Development Committee appeal to all attendees to comport themselves and exude peaceful conduct throughout the Festival.
